A full-time artist since 1998, Victoria Christen creates work that reflects her individual history and perspective on the world, incorporating influences from her mother’s sewing patterns and her father’s life as a machinist and folk artist. Locally, Christen has taught at Lewis & Clark College and Oregon College of Art and Craft. Nationally, she has served as an artist-in-residence at the Archie Bray Foundation and is the winner of a prestigious Jerome Foundation grant, as well as a National Endowment for the Arts Regional Visual Arts Fellowship. She holds an MFA in studio arts from the University of Minnesota.
Victoria Christen has been a part of The Gallery at Museum of Contemporary Craft since 1999.
