Researcher: Data Collection and Analysis

Are you a number cruncher who loves the arts? MoCC seeks a volunteer (or student seeking internship credit) with experience establishing systems for collecting, analyzing and reporting qualitative data. This person would work most closely with the Director|Chief Curator, and collaborate with numerous offices across the institution to produce a simple system that can be executed by volunteers and staff, and easily produce reports by year end. Data will be used to understand audience cultivation, track membership growth, and customer behavior in The Gallery.

Researcher: User Behavior

Are you interested in how people act and interact in public spaces? MoCC seeks a volunteer (or student seeking internship credit) who specializes in research about user behavior to help us understand how the Museum functions as an interactive space. Project development would take place in the fall, and be implemented in the spring with analysis conducted by June, 2013. We are open to current and new forms of data collection and analysis (video cameras exist onsite and exhibition attendants/volunteers are available to assist with observational needs).
